Extremely Random James Callis Pictures.

OK, so I just posted a big "sexy picspam", and then I realized I have so many James pictures I never posted before, that I could have posted. Let's correct that mistake by posting lots and lots in the same post - there can never be too much James beauty!

The uncredited ones are screenshots/promotional photos of Battlestar Galactica. The uncropped on-set photos are from the Last Days of BSG video, by Dennys Ilic. You can watch it here. And no, I won't bother to crop them all at this point.

Man of the Year?!!!

Hey guys, I just got the greatest idea! How about if...
we try to get James Callis as MAN OF THE YEAR in Time Magazine?!!!

I mean this would be totally awesome! Let's get our voices out there! If you're good at graphics, let's do some graphics! If you're good at poetry, do poetry! If you're good at fan fiction.. well you get the point. (If you're good at nothing, please don't do anything or the project might fail...)

Some reasons why James should be man of the year:

-Smoking. In the face of much oppression, James has been gallantly smoking throughout the 90's and 2000's, in a changing world, he keeps his lifestyle. It's his decision. He is.. independent man. (Possibly even Marlboro man.)

-Donuts. I can't even eat two donuts without feeling sick but if James can eat "lots of donuts" or even "eat donuts all day", then that would mean he can battle nausea and just drudge on. He believes in something, he does that, he doesn't give up, even if he gains weight. My knight in white frosted armor!

-Fashion icon. He makes totally daring fashion choices. Not always good ones, but DARING ones. Whether it's trucker chic or boy next door shirt, he'll be the one to go there first.

-Hope. His character on BSG reminds us that you can have lots of random sex, betray, be selfish and arrogant and yet you may be saved and garner much respect. I can't tell you how inspirational I find this!!!

-He's totally sexy. Need I say more?

-He can act, write, direct, ride horses, act with snakes, play guitar and piano to a performance level... what can't he do?

-Adolf Hitler was man of the year, and so was Joseph Stalin (TWICE), so I'll be really offended if James doesn't make it! He's at least as influential, but in a good way! (in my life at any rate)

If we can't get Man of the year, let's also try to get Mane of the year. That's one category where he's certain to win, EVERY year! Look at that luscious mane!

So show your fan art, I've posted mine above. Too bad I only have Paint, but I must say, it comes pretty close to looking like a real Time cover!

Man(e) of the year! Man(e) of the year! Goooo James!!!

Happy Birthday James Callis! (+Some Sexy Pix)

So, it's James' birthday! He's born in 1971, so that makes him... did he say 18 again, a few years ago? So maybe he's 20 again this year. ;)

James, I'll give you the same poem I wrote to my cousin's 1-year-old son James:
Happy birthday dear James,
you have such a sweet face!
Your family* loves you very much -
Happy birthday dear James!

* and fans!!

That sort of says it all. (Once you have a good stock poem for a James, why change it?) I hope you have a great day today, and celebrate in big style. Elina and I actually took to celebrating your birthday, and not knowing what you like to eat, we made homemade pizza with lots of toppings and berry pie that turned out very gooey but also very tasty. I'm afraid we didn't leave any for you, but it's the thought that counts, right? Since I had to work today, no alcoholic beverage was had, but I did get drunk last night, so maybe that counts.

OK, I promised the fans a sexy picspam, and give it I shall, although I must admit I had trouble choosing. Aren't ALL of the pictures sexy?

OK, so no grumbling allowed! I tried to focus on shirtless/sleeveless/otherwise extra sexy photos but there might be a few that are just cute or amusing. I saved the ones where he's actually in a sex scene til the very end. So you know, if you're at work, just stop short.

James Callis on Eureka: Who Is This Man?

Ooo! This looks interesting indeed. But I thought he was going to be a good guy, not some mysterious... I don't even know! :D

Either way, it looks like he has a really central role, and I'm kind of intrigued. What's with the gigantic hat? Why is he wearing a brown vest? Why is Colin Ferguson wearing the same kind of gear? Do his episodes take place in the past? Why is Salli Richardson-Whitfield not in this video?

(Am I beginning to sound like I actually care? I think I am.)

The bad news: According to Jamie Paglia, they're only going to air 9 episodes this summer, then a Christmas episode, and the other ten next year. But still, 10 episodes of James! Yay!

Administrary Blurb, Part 2.

Hey, I'm doing this for the second time! This must mean that it's going to be a tradition for something.

Why Baltarstar Frog? Initially, I thought I'd confuse people by just randomly changing the design and putting in new titles that sound vaguely like Baltarstar Blog. But you know, the frog seems very summery and nice, doesn't it? Maybe I'll keep this theme for a while. (And maybe I won't. I'm a mysterious kind of blogger!) Baltar didn't have a frog, as far as I know, but he totally should have. It would have relieved his pressures and guilt with its happy smile and amusing noises. The frog in question is named Deuteronomy, and he is hollow from the inside, with a hole in his head as well. I purchased him at a very low price in a flea market once, but this does not mean he isn't a valuable asset. He also functions as my Twitter and Facebook icon right now. And he's a huge James Callis fan, just like me.

I'm doing a TV meme on Livejournal, and BSG keeps coming up for some reason. Read on how I got into the show, who my favorite characters are BESIDES Baltar and Six, and which episodes are my favorite and least favorite, here. (I'm too lazy to make a direct link to each post. I realize they will be bumped down later, but for future reference, they were written in May 2010, and can be found around the 20th.)

So that's all of James Callis on FlashForward. That was awesome! The finale is yet to air, so we'll see if there's any further mention of Gabriel McDow, but I'm not really expecting that right now. I got a lot of views for these posts, including fun searches like "James Callis I like tomatoes" and "I hate pickles! I hate lettuce! I hate onions! I like tomatoes". James has gotten mixed reviews, but I'm not going to go over them and comment on them all, because a) I don't want to be the girl who never lets people talk about James without commenting and b) there are too many threads to keep tabs of.

I should add that with my last post, there were just so many issues to discuss that I forgot to mention how adorably chubby he was looking. Oh, dear! I am appalled and shocked at such negligence! Granted, if he is going to be chubby for a while, I might stop commenting on it in every post. (But please bear with me if I just can't!)

Re-Uniting the Rubins has NOT been shown at Cannes, it seems. I have no idea what's going on and am beginning to lose hope it will ever come out. But um, I will post news as I find them. It's a bit weird at this point.

Eureka starts airing on July 9th, and this means twenty episodes with James! Excellent! As you all know, I'm not a huge fan of the show, but maybe I'll change my opinion with James' episodes. Or maybe I'll just enjoy what I can and shut up about what I don't like in the show. Basically, the way I see it, Eureka is like Gilmore Girls, but it's about supposedly super-intelligent people. They don't usually act smarter than the townies in GG, but they have fun inventions and there are time distortions and such stuff. Which I basically find fun, as long as it's not TOO silly. We'll see where James falls on my "too silly - too serious" scale, but he has a good sense of humor, so we can at least expect good READINGS and fun expressions. Also, I did occasionally enjoy Gilmore Girls a great deal.

The Facebook thing. Um, eh, hmm. *shame* See, here's how it's going to be: I'm depressed. I can't hide it and I can't stop it from screwing up my perception of reality sometimes. It will come out in this blog and I'm sorry. Ideally, I'd like for this to be a tribute blog where I don't post negative stuff or doubts about James, but it seems like I can't avoid that. Maybe that means it's also personal in a good way and accurately reflects my admiration and respect for him.

MOST of the time, James is a positive thing in my life and the fandom has given me a lot of strength. I have no reason to think James doesn't like me, and it would be neurotic and morbid to go on thinking in that way. So I've resigned to not knowing what he thinks of me, but assuming the best.

So I continue to gush and will continue to post lots when something's happening. Unless James himself specifically requests it, I will not take down or stop writing this blog. (Or, as the case might be, frog.)
